Update for Team G Force
A quick update of the G Force Suspension MX Team.
Steven Smyth competed in the recent le Touquet beach race for the first time and finished an excellent 79th overall, not bad for the young lad on a 250 fourstroke.
Then we had the first round of the british enduro championships with Ricky Mair riding an RM 250 two stroke who rode to 13th overall.
The first round of the british maxxis championships at Canada heights with Bobby gold out due to injury, Ricky stepping in to ride on the crf450 in mx1, unfortunately never riding the bike before the event didn’t manage to qualify, but started well in the supports with taking the lead out of the first corner and leading the race till he got cross rutted and dropped the bike on lap 2, then two laps later stalled the bike after a stone jammed the chain in a slow corner. Ricky thought it was engine trouble and pushed the bike of the track, where he got outside assistance to start it which meant he was not able to continue the race.
On the 15th march we had two events on. Ricky was at the first round of the british two stroke championships, and rode to 9th overall in the expert open class.
Whilst up north we had the first round of the Scottish open championships with Bobby Gold coming out to claim some points riding still injured with a broken sternum.
Fortunately managing to end up with 8th overall giving him an excellent start to the championship battle.
And finally this weekend (22nd march) we all headed south for the 2nd round of the british mx championships, Steven qualified 9th in mxy2 with a 8th in race one and 6th in race two to give him 7th overall. Bobby and Ricky both missed out on qualifying in mx1 Ricky was 37th and Bobby still suffering with injury 45th , finished race one of the supports in 6th for Ricky and 7th for Bobby. Bobby got 3rd in race two while Ricky managed to get in the second mx1 race and rode to 26th .
Thanks to all for their support, Motul oils, Wulfsport international, Mitas tyres, Rip n Roll goggles, TWS GB for WRP products, Moto x world and mxm graffics.
